Boedecker Educational Tutoring

The Boedecker Educational Tutoring program (BET) is World Spark's after school tutoring program for children not realizing their intellectual potential due to poverty, domestic conditions or learning disabilities.

Three times every week, September to June, children receive individualized tutoring in Math, Reading and Writing. The tutoring program's small class size, one teacher for seven students, provides children with the personal attention often missing in their schools or lives.

In addition to nine hours of weekly tutoring, BET students also receive a nutritious breakfast or lunch. When needed counseling, vision aide and clothing are also available. In 2018 one hundred and ninety-five (195) children were enrolled in BET.
